For day five of RPG a Day, we've got an RPG with great writing, and this allows me to shoutout something I've just been getting into, Mage: The Awakening 2nd Edition. It presents a setting very similar but also quite distinct from its predecessor Mage: The Ascension, and I find it much easier to get into. Instead of the Technocracy, a great but very complex faction, Awakening's antagonists are the Seers of the Throne, a much easier kind of fascist mage to grasp, and the game generally is very easy to understand while still featuring a lot of interesting prose.

RPGaDAY 2024 #3 & #4
I missed day 3 so you're getting a double feature.
For Day 3, we've got my most often played RPG- And just like day 2, that's Vampire: The Masquerade, though since it's also Day 4, for an RPG with great art, I'll give the spotlight to 20th Anniversary Edition. The book in general has great art, but two illustrations I want to focus on are these:
These are just really good in my opinion. That's it.

RPGaDAY 2024 #2
For day 2 of RPGaDAY, we've got the RPG I've most recently played, and that would be Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition.
This game does not need introductions, if you're seeing this blog you've very likely at least heard about VtM. The 5th edition World of Darkness games are a bit controversial, but I like them, they got for a very distinctly closer to the ground approach, and are easy to learn.

RPGaDAY 2024 #1
In order to, uh, actually use this blog? I've decided to post about RPGaDAY on here.
For Day One, we've got the First RPG I bought this year, and that would be Deviant: The Renegades.
A "Tabletop game of Vengeance", as it calls itself, Deviant is about the Remade, people who have been turned into monsters and are looking to get back at those who transformed them.I haven't gotten to play it yet, but it's got a very strong concept reminiscent of the Kamen Rider series, which is basically the whole reason I got into it.
Deviant is set in the Chronicles of Darkness, the successor to White Wolf's World of Darkness, which is notably home to Vampire: The Masquerade.

Watching: Trigun (1998) Episodes 13-16
After a rather random recap episode that admittedly did have entertaining things about it and another purely episodic affair featuring more of the Nebraska family and the least amount of Vash screentime in the whole show thus far, I expected Trigun to enter a bit of a lull, and I couldn't have been more wrong. 15 and 16 are clearly the beginning of an arc, one that I'm excited to see unfold as I keep watching.
Legato is a very strange character, be it in his personality or his fashion sense. His ability to manipulate people's bodies is also very intriguing, and I'm impatiently awaiting his confrontation with Vash and the reveal of just how it works.
The Gung-Ho Guns seem to be a very hectic group; the fact that Dominique was able to nearly kill Vash made a very good first impression, even if E.G. Mine and Raidei didn't really live up to that impression. So far, the ones I'm more interested in are Monev, Caine, and Zazie.
I don't know where Trigun is heading in terms of plot, but it's looking very tense and interesting.

Plans for June 2022
May was underwhelming. Sure, this blog got started, I got a bit of work done on a personal project, and I began watching Trigun, but... Well, not much else. My sluggish rhythm means I do things far slower than I wish I could.
But, well, the end of a month is there to recap and to plan ahead for the next month, as foolish as that is for me. So, here's the plans for the month of June 2022:
-First off, I'll try to finish Trigun, writing new articles about it along the way.
-Secondly, I want to write more general articles on here than just the ones talking about the shows I'm watching. Even aside from the things I play or read, I have things to say and this is where I want to say them.
-And, third, I want to make actual, tangible project on that personal project I've been talking about sometimes.
Goodbye May, hello June.

Watching: Trigun (1998) Episodes 6-12
Trigun's first five episodes were fun, character focused little adventures. With the last batch of episodes I watched, however, Trigun is quickly becoming more serious as well as more reliant on continuity, which is something I welcome a lot.
Another big thing was the introduction of Wolfwood, a character voiced by Show Hayami whose face is just as prevalent on the marketing as Vash's, so I'm sure he'll come back later. He's a fun character who, much like Vash, seems to have things he prefers to hide, and great chemistry with everyone else.
Speaking of Vash, there were glimpses of his past shown in those episodes- And the little I know now makes him even more fascinating. It's increasingly clear that his goofy antics are a front for a man who's got some deep issues; a man who is said to be monstrous but helps heal the enemies he shoots down in life-or-death situations. And of course, with episode 12, it became really obvious that, were it not for his iron-clad morals, Vash would be utterly terrifying.
Something else that I feel deserves praise this time around is the show's visuals- They were already good in the first five episodes, but the show has stayed consistently gorgeous for twelve episodes out of 26, which is nothing to scoff at.
I'm excited to see where this show goes once I get back to it.
